Our Natural
Soap vs. Commercial Soap
Our soap is handmade entirely
from scratch, using vegetable
oils and butters that are rich
in emollients and skin
nourishing properties, like
Vitamin E. Commercial soaps, and
even some handmade soaps,
contain tallow (animal fat),
lanolin (from sheep fleece),
pigments, and dyes which can
cause skin sensitivity. We
DO NOT use these ingredients,
ever!
Our soaps contain 100% of the
glycerin byproduct from our cold
process soap method. Most
commercial soap makers remove
the glycerin that occurs
naturally in soap, leaving
behind a product that is harsh
and drying to skin. Our soaps
should not be confused with the
clear glycerin soaps that are
common on drug store shelves
today. Clear soaps contain
alcohol and other harsh
chemicals. They also tend to be
quite soft and do not last.
While store-bought soap
typically contains synthetic
fragrance, our soaps contain
nature's best
essential oils
for
scent. Our soaps have been used
extensively and with great
success by adults and children
of all skin types. Even those
with sensitive, problem skin
swear by the moisturizing
qualities of North Country
Soaps. Some individuals
have extreme sensitivity, even
to natural ingredients, so we
recommend that those people test
all products on a small area of
skin, such as the inside of the
forearm, before committing to
use. In the unlikely event
that you experience an adverse
reaction, please
contact
us, and we will happily
replace or refund your money. |
