Properly
Cured Soap = Long Lasting Soap
We pride ourselves in the
density of our soap. Our
customers prefer our long
lasting soap over the bars sold
by the competition that dissolve
after only a few uses!
Unfortunately, many soap
crafters do
not allow sufficient curing
time of their bars. If you can depress the
edge of a bar with your thumb,
it probably needs more time to
cure. Put us to the test:
buy a
Mini Soap Sample Stack and
see for yourself!
Our customers appreciate the
exceptional value offered by our
bar soap. After cutting our
molds, we allow bars to "cure"
for a minimum of 12 weeks,
usually longer.
Unused bars will continue to
harden over time, offering you
an even longer lasting product.
Please note, however, that our
handmade soap does not have an
indefinite shelf life because it
contains no synthetic
preservatives, so don't wait too
long to enjoy its goodness!
For proper storage of
handmade soap, we recommend
wrapping it in tissue paper (not
plastic) and placing it in a
drawer or closet away from
direct sunlight. Some of
our bars contain high
concentrations of unsaponifiable essential fatty acids
which are good for your skin,
but reduce shelf life. So,
we recommend that you store
backup bars of aloe, citrus,
hemp, and lavender mint in your
fridge or freezer to retain
color and scent and to retard
spoilage of the EFAs.
