About North
Country Soaps |

Raquette Lake, NY |
North Country Soaps is a
collaborative effort of two
sisters-in-law whose addiction
to the pristine environment of
their Adirondack Mountain summer
home spurred a desire for all
things natural. In 1998 we
were introduced to the craft of
cold-processed soap making, and
a business was born. |
|
Our line of pure, unadulterated,
natural soaps and body care
products are a personal
reflection of our desire to stay
close to nature. Our
promise to you is that we will
only use the best natural
ingredients. We hope
you'll have as much fun using
our creations as we do making
them. |

Throw it back, Rachel! |
We are a small New England
business and take pride in the
quality of our work. We avoid
short cuts and cheap ingredients
used by other soap makers,
resulting in a superior product.
Compare our soaps' colors,
hardness and scent to the
competition and you'll notice
the difference too. |
|
Our products
are created by Jan Rohwetter
and Barb Young, and are tested
and refined with the help of
many friends and family members.
We would like to recognize our
friend, Julia Peterson, for
teaching us the importance of
using only natural ingredients
and for sharing her wealth of
knowledge about the magical
qualities of herbs and essential
oils. We owe Betty
Reynolds many thanks for
designing our beautiful logo and
our sister, Chris, for her
assistance with labeling and
packaging. And, Dave,
thanks for your many hours of
web consultation and work over
the years. Thanks to all
of you for your love and support!
